all the fellow humanists of this world (sve sami humanisti mamicu im jebem)

about the hidden connection between duce's son bruno and condoleeza rice, on how wars start, on schindler's list, on the force - the only respect worthy fetish in this world, on cd with bosnian music on wsmu radio, and animals in haifa's zoo.

wars never come surprisingly, although this can't be read from the faces of people caught in the midst of it, but wars indeed never come surprisingly, as it only takes one side to make a war. the more armed, and better equiped this side is the less persuasive their explanations of the instant nature of the conflict is, and the more arrogant is the tone of their explanation. no i am not talking about recent war in lebanon, at least not yet, i am talking about the italian occupation of ethiopia.

one of the actors in this war theater was bruno mussolini, the son of italian duce - a military pilot by occupation. his job consisted (partly, we shell see later) of throwing bombs on ethiopian positions. but artisticaly gifted son (mussolinis seem to have an artistic talent, namely his brother was a jazz musician), saw even this as suited motive for his works. when on earth he was writing poems about beauty of bullet torn human flesh, and the incredible rose-like results of bomb explosion amidst a group of people. when in skies, gathering motives for further literary work.

this story is a perfect paralel to recent comments of condoleeza rice on "the birth pains of a new middle east". begining with hitler, stalin, named mussolini, up to ms. rice this list includes world leaders who described themselves as humanists, but nevertheless sacrificed millions of people for their idea of new europe, new man, and new middle east.

while this may just be an idealist view on politics that knows no other ideal than protecting its own interests, lets get back to people to whom wars start surprisingly, and who always get a thicker end: civilians. faces of old women deformed of fear, chaos around western facilities remind me of start of war in my country bosnia some 15 years ago. back then jews were first to flee bosnia - sometimes it is useful to have a spare homeland.

events such as the evacuation of western citizens from lebanon seem to support this. the only people alowed to board ships evacuating to cyprus were the holders of western passports, not the permanent residents who make up large number of immigrant population in europe.

while the western media has now something perverse to report on under titles such as "broken links - families trapped in war", this evacuation is exactly what archfacists such as mr. adolf stoiber wanted, for he will get rid of some arabs in streets of bavaria. these are western interests in this case. further on this is just a proof that rightousnes and humanist nature of western civilization nicely portrayed in schindler's list is just a fiction. schindler's list probably won the oscar for successful portrayal of oscar schindler and good adaptation of book, not for the deeper meaning and idea emanating from the movie, at least not in eyes of the europeans.

past week an outstanding world music show on bayern2 radio weltempfänger featured lebanese artists. there is nothing wrong with this in particular, on the contrary, but i found it somehow disgusting. this reminded me on my djing time on wsmu radio, when i came across a cd, with bosnian music, released by some american museum, that had title, rougly, music of people in extiction (internet search reveals this: bosnia: echoes of an endangered world. smithsonian folkways recordings, 955 l'enfant plaza, washington, d.c. 20560). today i had the same weird feeling in my stomach: how nearly we missed the destiny of being stateless people, and how the history is repeating itself.

very popular word these days is pulverization. israelis want to pulverize hesbolah, israeli generals are pulverizing the battlefield, and people trapped uder the rubble are being pulverized. it is slowly becoming a buzzword of the decade, the way cleaning as in ethnic cleaning was a buzzword of the nineties. the whole world is treating israelis as they were treating serbs in the early nineties of the last century: too much talking without showing the teeth. the bottom line is it is not easy to clash with someone powerfull - power is the only respect worthy fetish in this world.

former victims have interesting habit of turning into villains, serbs, jews, africans are just examples. (yes israelis have fascist policies, just as serbs had: bombing civilians, killing un peacekeepers/observers pulverizing other countries..) their policy is partialy successfull - they can answer every critic by refering their said and difficult history, people tend to mix apples and oranges, past and present, so their policies get protected for some time.

to cut the story short - every fascism has one solution, the war in the middle east will be finally solved once tel aviv is decently bombarded, the same way it was done with belgrade in the late nineties. but this won't happen soon, primarily while the west (who else can do it), doesn't have interest to do it. to paraphrase wiliam faulkner who once said (in compson appendix of sound and fury), they west with it's double morale will not do it, once it decides to do it, because one whole nation is being pulverized (faulkner actualy wrote about turning nation into soap), but to protect their own interests.

while animals in haifa's zoo remain more important than people (as lengthy report on cnn show), i see no solution to this problem. it is obviously more important if monkeys are being scared by sporadic explosions, then if children are being burned by phosphorus.

everything was much easier without the democracy.
